Description
My housemate is going travelling and leaving behind his spacious double bedroom in Shandon/Polwarth from mid-February, although the date can be adjusted should you need to move in earlier.
About the room and flat:
The flat has a large communal living room and kitchen with all the amenties including a new washing machine and dishwasher. We also have access to the downstairs communal garden.
The flat is well located with a range of big supermarkets, fitness and gym venues, a cinema, and an abundance of green and blue spaces including the Union Canal, Craiglockhart Hill and Harrison Park all within 15 minute walking distance. There are also plenty of bus routes to choose from, whether heading into town or into the Pentlands Hills.
Bills are not included in the rental price, but usually come to £145 a month including council tax, electric, gas and internet.
About me:
I'm a 32 year old woman, originally from London who relocated to Edinburgh a couple of years ago spurred on by my love of nature and the great outdoors. I work in the charity sector, which I juggle with my MSc study and volunteering for a homelessness charity where I help run the bookclub alongside my many hobbies, which include climbing (bouldering, top rope, lead sport and trad), hiking, run club, and tag rugby. I'm an ambivert who likes to spend time with my friends but equally enjoy my downtime. I'm looking for a flatmate who is likeminded who enjoys their own company but is up for a natter or film night on occasion.
