Fully furnished double room in a two-bedroom top floor flat in central Edinburgh with south facing sun-trap of a lounge and lovely, friendly flatmate. Recently renovated kitchen and dining area with a dishwasher, gas hob and SMEG appliances - a dream to cook in and the perfect space to host dinner parties. One shared bathroom with great shower pressure and generous bath size. There’s also a washing machine and dryer which makes life easy. It has central heating and double glazing so is quite quiet despite being on Easter Road. The lovely thing about this flat is the high ceilings and giant windows which make it feel so bright and airy - and is great if you’re into home workouts or yoga in the lounge.
One of the two sofas is a pull out bed which comes in handy for having friends to stay - or for film nights. Incredibly well-located as Easter Road and leith walk are a cool area and community hub in their own right full of cafes, charity shops and restaurants. You can also walk to Leith Shore and the waters of Leith in 20 mins, Leith Links is at the bottom of the road which is great for tennis whilst Holyrood Park (Arthur’s seat) is at the top of the road so great for running or walking. You can walk into the centre of the old town in 30 mins or get the 35 or 1 bus from outside the flat. You can run or cycle to Portobello Beach in half an hour or get the bus. The flat is also 8 mins away from the closest tram stop which gets you to the airport in 45 minutes. Our council tax band is C and energy bills come to about £50/month pp currently. Imogen is the loveliest flatmate to live with, we cook dinner for each other every couple of weeks, grab pints at the Old Eastway Pub just downstairs, watch TV and even co-host the occasional party! So this flat is great for someone who wants to live with a friend and not just a flatmate. Imogen works at Enterprise Cars in Sterling so is at the office Monday - Friday with one or two work from home days each week.
