Description
Hey there! :)
A large double en-suite room has become available from June 1st in my two bedroom flat that I rent in Slateford.
Features:
Furnished room with double bed, personal shower and sink , desk and wardrobe and large living space.
Large shared living room with sofa and dining table. Shared kitchen fully equipped with electric oven and hob. The flat and building is airy and bright and the neighbours are usually quiet too.
The flat is very close to the centre of town: 15-20 min walk to Haymarket Train Station and 45 mins to the centre if you like a good walk! Regular and close bus stop 4, 44, 34, 35 and 22 which go to both Haymarket and Edinburgh train station and town centre. Also has night bus N44 which stops basically outside the flat, so good for catching shows and gigs in town.
I live opposite the shops which includes a lively pub and adjoining cafe/bar, pharmacy, bakery and 24 hour corner shop (very helpful and tempting!). 5 mins down is a Lidl and Post Office, Asda further on. Behind the house on a 10 min walk is Gorgie high-street with a larger selections of cafes and shops and lovely local businesses.
There is on street parking outside the flat after a certain time of day.
Bills:
Your rent is £737.50 a month and with bills on top it’s roughly £900, with each flatmate paying:
- £84.50 council tax (Band C)
- £13 internet currently
- £60 for energy roughly (calculated monthly off energy use)
There is a shared garden at the back of the property and on street parking at restricted hours outside the front of the property. This is usually a bus lane.
When finalised that you would want to take on this tenancy, it would require the usual checks through the landlords estate agent.
A little about me:
I’m a 35 y/o woman who is friendly and laidback, who works full time Monday - Friday. I’m sociable and love a good laugh and chat, but there’s never any pressure to socialise :)
I generally live fairly quietly at home in the working week and would be looking to find someone with a similar work/life balance. I enjoy playing and collecting old games and consoles, watching comedy, cooking, art making, skate and surf culture, playing music and attending gigs and getting outdoors at the weekend. I’m pretty tidy and try to keep my mess to a minimum. I don’t have people over a lot and I work from home on and off so my routine is usually pretty calm and regular. Sometimes I am away at the weekends or for a week seeing my family. (and sadly, the dog in my picture doesn’t come with the flat!)
