About me:

My name is Caitlyn. I’m a 23 year old Japanese-Canadian. I have been living in Edinburgh for 1 1/2 years and plan to stay until October 2027.
I work part-time in retail and am mostly a homebody. I love arts and crafts, history and music.
Growing up in a noise-sensitive household, I learned how to be very quiet so you are unlikely to be bothered by me:) That being said, I do sometime work early morning shifts (6am wake-ups) so if you are a light sleeper like me, I want to give that heads up. The benefit of this flat’s floorpan is that the bedrooms are across the hall from each other so very little noise travels! In general I try and stay quiet between 11pm-8am.
I love a good chat and fun nights in but I’m also fully able to entertain myself with hobbies in my own space so no stress if you’re not super social:)
It is rare that I will bring guests over but if ever I do, I will definitely share ahead of time. I tend to keep my private spaces private but of course, I am always happy to accommodate.
I’m not a super fancy cook but on occasion I will make cultural dishes. If you have any allergies or smell-sensitivities I will 100% make adjustments.
I really enjoy cleaning as stress-relief and am not super strict with schedules or anything. Obviously, the expectation is still to keep shared areas tidy:)
