Large bright double room in central Edinburgh

Hi! We're looking for a flatmate to join our flat near Surgeon's Hall in Edinburgh in the heart of the Old Town and a 10 min walk from Waverley train station. You would be sharing with a couple (Leyla and Ema) and a kitten (Piper). The flat is on the top (3rd) floor, we have a large shared living room and separate kitchen/dining room, one shower+toilet room and lots of cupboard space for storage. The flat was remodelled and painted just before we moved in so it's a nice clean space. The entire flat, except for the kitchen and bathroom is carpeted.

While we're a long-term couple, we have separate bedrooms and the advertised room is the largest in the flat with a walk-in wardrobe and built-in shelf space (see photos). The flat was part furnished when we moved in but the space is now fully furnished and the room would come with a bed, desk space and drawers. Happy to move furniture about as needed/preferred.

Both Ema and I are working (myself in the heritage sector, Ema for an arts & culture magazine) and both occasionally work from home. We are looking for someone at a similar stage in their life (recent graduate, young professionals, freelance creatives, etc). As flatmates we are respectful and appreciate good communication and a tidy living space. In the past we both lived in a cooperative, so appreciate an understanding of cooperative values and have enjoyed things like low commitment cooking rotas, flat dinners and social outings.

Bills are not included in rent and are approximately £100 a month for gas, electricity, council tax and internet.

Piper is an 8 month old kitten who is very friendly and sociable but we don't have experience of what she is like with other pets in the home. If you have a pet and are interested, let us know and we can discuss.
