The rent includes all bills such as BT Infinity, gas and electricity. Residents' parking with a permit, and secure bike storage are free to use. To work out a monthly rent from a weekly rent, you multiply by 52 then divide by 12.
The location is very central, surrounded by the Royal Mile, the Parliament, the Queen's Palace and Holyrood Park, the 'mountain' in the middle of the city with good jogging routes. These are about 3 minutes walk away. The swimming pool for Edinburgh University is 1 minute away and their excellent gyms and sports hall facilities less than 5 mins. Tesco Metro is just 25 metres away.
The teaching facilities for Edinburgh University start from 50 metres away with Moray House College and St Leonard's Land. The Institute of Geography and High School Yards Campus is 350 metres away. The Law School is about 600 metres.
The room a good shape (almost square) and size, at 15 sq metres and has large double windows. The bed is a continental-length IKEA double bed. The furniture is from IKEA including a large desk. There is laminate flooring, adjustable blinds and lined curtains. Internet is available by wireless and a data access port.
There is gas central heating and double glazing throughout. It is a top-floor flat in a block of 15 flats.
The communal area is the kitchen dining room. It is large at 14 sq metres, and has seating inclduing table and chairs for four. It is well equipped and includes a washer dryer and large fridge freezer.
There is one showerrroom per two tenants: the next best thing to en-suite. So, for the four tenants there are two Mira electric showers, two WCs, two washbasins and one bath.
