There are bus stops nearby, one at 2, another at 10 minutes walking distance from the flat, with frequent buses running to and from the city centre. It's a 15-20 minutes to East Princes Street by bus.

It's a 5 minutes walk to:
- local Morrisons Supermarket and Cafe
- D’Angelou's French Bakery
- Giovanni's Fish & Chip Shop and That's Amore! Pizzeria

- Holyrood Park is 15 minutes walk; Portobello is 20-25 minutes walk, and less by bus

- the Sheep Heid Inn is a very old bar and restaurant in Duddingston Village. It's 15 minutes walk from the flat. Dr Neil's garden and Duddingston Kirk are also in Duddingston Village.
