Single room to rent Portobello

Two people and a dog looking for a flatmate. We are a couple renting out our spare room in Portobello, whilst one of us works/studies in London. You will be sharing with Chris, a 29 year old professional working in the third sector; Scout, a very friendly Yorkshire terrier; and occasionally Ruth, when she’s not in London (working as a Prison Officer & completing a masters). We are both friendly and sociable, but will respect your privacy and space.

All bills are included in the cost including internet, council tax, gas and electricity. The flat is fully furnished and has a beautiful large garden (shared with 4 neighbours), a sitting room (with TV with Netflix and NowTV), a large kitchen and a family bathroom with shower over bath. The bedroom is a comfortable single room with a bed that can be turned into a double (but this leaves little space). There is underbed storage, shelves and a built in wardrobe in the room, we are happy to put in extra shelving etc as requested.

The area is lovely, the beach is just a 30 second walk from the flat, there are lots of shops nearby and various pubs, bars and restaurants in the area. This is our home and our dogs home so you must be a dog person and on occasion be willing to help with the dog (i. e. taking her out to the garden if home before Chris) you will not be expected to walk her or take much responsibility beyond this (unless you would like to walk her – we would not say no!) This would be quite rare but we have taken this in to account in the price.

The ideal tenant would be clean and tidy, friendly and respectful of our things. Happy to consider students or professionals. Please bear in mind that we are not big drinkers/party people so would ideally live with someone who’s looking for a nice relaxed home environment.

There is a bus stop just outside the flat, with regular buses into town. During weekdays Xbuses run and get you to Princes St in 20mins.
