Looking for a friendly and responsible flatmate for the second bedroom in my North Leith flat which will be available June 1st. The location is convenient, with Asda and Aldi just a 10-minute walk away and Ocean Terminal only 3 minutes on foot. There's a wide array of shops, including Starbucks, a cinema, and Puregym, all within easy reach. Additionally, Scotmid is just a 2-minute walk from the flat.
Public transportation is easily accessible with buses 16, 34, 35, 36, 200, and trams available nearby.
As for the flat itself, it boasts two bedrooms, and we'll be sharing a huge, well-equipped kitchen complete with a dishwasher, two ovens, and a coffee machine. The flat has double-glazed windows and you will have your own bathroom. There's plenty of storage space, ensuring a clutter-free living environment. The shared living room is spacious and filled with natural light, and it features a large TV for entertainment. In addition there is an undercover parking space and lock-up cage for bike storage in the underground carpark.
I'm an easygoing Australian who has lived in Edinburgh since September 2023 and in this flat for the past 3 months. After travelling a lot of Europe I am currently between jobs but looking to work in IT and not WFH. Cleanliness is essential to me, so I hope my future flatmate shares the same tidiness.
The room is 700/month (wifi included) and with bills (electricity/council tax) the total comes to around 850 for Spring/Summer/Autumn and around 900 during Winter. Also the landlord requires you provide a UK Guarantor or 6 months monthly rent upfront - either will be acceptable. Long-term renting is a must, and potential flatmates should be prepared for landlord checks, including references and a security deposit. Unfortunately couples and pets are not accepted as per landlord's instruction and preferred professionals due to council tax reasons.
