Description
Hi,
My name is Ellie and I am currently looking for a new flatmate (no couples or anyone under the age of 28) to move into the flat from Saturday the 4th of October 2024 onward (can be sooner if you are looking to move into somewhere straight away), or I am able to push back the move in date to the 2nd weekend of October for around Saturday the 12th/Sunday the 13th of October.
The flat is located in the lovely area of Leith (only 10 minutes walk to the shore with plenty of great bars/pubs & restaurants to try) with lots of amenities on your doorstep.
The flat itself - you will have your own spacious double room with views out to the garden (wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk & chair).. Just a couple of things in regard to the bedroom, it is right next to the kitchen so if you are a light sleeper then this isn't the right place for you. Also the window in the bedroom will be replaced by the end of October 2024 so it is fastened shut for now and cannot be opened.
There is a very spacious shared sitting room, with a futon sofa bed which is ideal for when you have a friend or family member come to stay overnight. There is a small kitchen (fridge, oven, sink - it's all fully equipped although there is no microwave as there is very limited space), storage cupboard/room, small utility room with freezer and washing machine stored in there. We have a decent sized shared bathroom with shower over bath which is a good size, sink and toilet. If you have a bike there is also room to store your bicycle in the flat as one of my previous flatmates stored hers in the flat.
The flat is fully furnished and the current rent inclusive of all bills (gas, electric, CT, broadband, TV license etc) is £670 PCM, If you are only wanting to stay from between 1 - 3 months the rent is set at £870PCM).
I am looking for someone who is considerate, responsible and reliable who also has a good/decent standard of cleanliness and hygiene when sharing the flat, making sure you clean up after yourself, and help out with the cleaning in the communal areas (I tend to have the set up as we take alternate weeks cleaning the communal areas, but I am happy to change things up depending on our schedules).
A bit about me - I work at Edinburgh University Monday-Friday so I'll be out of the flat 5 days a week although on occasion I may work from the flat if I have an appointment or late night social event. (if you work from home, then this will be ideal for you as you'll have the place to yourself during the daytime), I also tend to go to the gym a few times a week after work.
When I'm not working I enjoy going for walks to the beach and other places around the city and beyond, going to cellidhs on occasion although it's been awhile since I attended one. Trying out different bars & restaurants. I enjoy going to events and cultural attractions, and when I need some R&R I love a good spa day, I also enjoy a good snooze to. I do like being sociable and happy to hangout, have a chinwag over food & drinks sometimes, or a movie night.
Ideally I am looking for a flatmate who would like to hang out with every so often for a cheeky drink, or to watch a film/tv series but not a must. If this sounds like this place is the right fit for you then feel free to get in touch.
Please also include a bit about yourself, what you do, hobbies, likes, dislikes etc.
I am happy to consider mature students.
No Couples or anyone under the age of 28 years of age (sorry).
I will upload pictures of the sitting room and new pics of the bedroom which has been recently vacated within the next day.
