Room in cosy flat near Shore

Hello! I’m looking for a flatmate to rent a room from me in my 2-bedroom flat in Leith.

The flat is in a quiet development just off North Fort Street, between Ferry road and Lindsay road. It is 2 minutes walk from Ocean terminal, 10 mins from the Shore and or Leith Walk. There is also a tram stop and a bus stop 2 mins away that connects to many major bus routes. Despite being so handy for all the main shopping, bar and restaurant areas in Leith, the flat is very quiet with no passing traffic. The development has a car park with unassigned spaces so there are plenty for you and any guests.

The room comes fully furnished, including a desk and a small-double sized bed. It has a huge walk-in cupboard and 2 chests of drawers so you will have plenty storage space. The room gets lots of sunlight during the day and through your window you can see Arthur’s seat. I’m happy for you to decorate however you want, put pictures up on the walls, etc.

There is a big comfy living room with a TV, dining table and chairs and sofas. The living room overlooks a huge grassy area with trees which acts as a shared garden and I love to do yoga or read my book out there – it is the perfect space for sitting out with a wee drink in the summer. The kitchen is brand new, and I have all the kitchenware you will need.
The shared bathroom also has 2 storage units so plenty of space to keep toiletries. It is fitted with a lovely deep bath with a shower above.

My name is Kirsty, I’m 28 and I am a Primary teacher. I’ve been living in Leith for 6 years, and I bought the flat about 3 years ago. Work keeps me quite busy, but in my spare time I love yoga, wild swimming at Wardie Bay or Portobello, and pole dancing. I love going out for food or drinks in the evenings too. If you’re into film, yoga or spiritual practice we will have lots in common!

I love meeting new people and I have lived with various different flatmates for 8 years now so I’m keen to find someone I can get on well with who enjoys living together with others like I do. I would prefer to live with a young professional, although I’d consider a postgrad student. I am quite tidy, social, and very laid back, so someone similar would be a good fit. If you are keen to do walks, wild swims or beer garden drinks together every so often that would be a bonus!

The room is available from September. Rent is £700 a month including all bills and council tax, and £700 deposit is required.
