Room available in a friendly Marchmont flat!

Hello!

We're looking to fill the master bedroom in this spacious Marchmont flat. Having been here for nearly two years, we've got a great relationship with the landlord, and are hoping to find a new tenant for her that is similarly able to respect and enjoy this place! The space is well furnished and has gorgeous shared living spaces, including a well stocked kitchen/ dining room w a washer/dryer, a luxurious sitting room and an updated bathroom. The current tenant is moving out around the 13th of may, but can do so earlier if necessary!

Here’s a bit about your your prospective flatmates, Yuval and Jodie:

My name is Jodie (she/her) and I’m a friendly 27yr old comedian. I’m Canadian but have lived in Australia the last 5 years. I’m excitedly moving to Edinburgh in a week and I’m looking for a share-house with housemates I can also become friends with. I’m planning on living in the UK for up to 3 years so looking to find/build a lil community. As I mentioned I’m a standup and music comedian, I make an income through content creation and paid standup gigs. I will probably get a cafe job to further supplement my comedy income and have at routine and can make work mates! I’ve lived in share-houses for years and am very reliable and responsible. I love yoga, having a chat, going on walks and runs, day trips out to nature, going to markets - I’m also a Virgo but a Sag rising so a clean but chill combo.

Hi! My name's Yuval (they/them) and I am a 26 year old non-binary/queer person who works full time as a nursing assistant in Edinburgh! I'm hoping to find flatmates who are interested in having a good mix between a communal atmosphere and personal time. I have ADHD but I'm able to manage an even split of the chores. I recently started learning guitar (with a good set of headphones so I won't blast the doors down), like to write poetry now and again, and enjoy going out for walks and hiking. In terms of group activities I enjoy nights in watching TV and playing board/card games, but I also enjoy getting to know new people and socialising over coffee or a couple of drinks. Live music is also pretty great! I think overall, though I can be fairly quiet, I'm pretty easy to get along with. I work 12 hour shifts which will prevent me from being around much 3 days a week, but my days off give me more than enough time for flat events and outings :)
