Description
Hi,
I'm looking for a flatmate for this academic year (until the end of June but short-term would also be fine). Ideally I'd like to live with another student because it is easier with council taxes but if you don't mind paying (I think you can get a 25% discount), the flat is Band E.
The room is available now, but I'd love to live with someone I can get along with so I'm in no rush for an entry date.
The Room:
-The flat has 2 floors, the room is on the top floor, it's very tranquil.
-Bright, cosy room facing south-west.
-Furnished with a new and comfortable bed, chest of drawers, desk, and chair (I'm still in the process of finding furnitures for my flat btw, I know it looks fit for a boarding student of the Victorian era for now!)
-Ideal for students seeking a peaceful space they can decorate/feel at home in.
The Flat:
-Well-maintained 1880s flat.
-Shared bathroom.
-Shared spacious dining room.
-Library room with sofa (also serves as a laundry room).
-Kitchen equipped with essential appliances (washing machine, dishwashing machine, your own fridge).
-There's a back garden and I'm planning on starting a raised herb garden so if you like gardening feel free to join.
-I sometimes pet sit my neighbour's cats so it's essential you like cats.
About me:
-I'm a Swiss-French PhD student researching 19th-century Japanese history.
-I love cooking and baking and would be more than happy to share meals and a glass of wine every now and then.
-I am usually pretty tidy (don't mind the temporary mountain of books), the kitchen will really need to remain spotless as I am planning on hosting a supper club.
-I don't mind if people staying over or coming for dinner parties as long as the flat is kept clean and there's no issues with my neighbours.
Location:
Edinburgh Uni's central campus is a 25min walk away and King's Building should be about 15min.
The area is quiet but it's really well connected by bus.
Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I realised I suck at taking them and I'm in the middle of repainting the bathroom so :)
