We're looking for a friendly, responsible professional to join our flatshare right in between Marchmont and Bruntsfield starting from 1st January. The flat is an incredible find, it is a top floor two story apartment with five bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a huge kitchen with natural light, a large living room featuring a nook with a lovely window seat view of the city and castle (makes a great spot to read!), one guest bedroom, two study room, and a laundry room.
The available room is fully furnished with a double bed, deskspace, and wardrobe storage. The monthly rent is £535 and includes bills (wifi, gas, electric, and Council Tax, along with shared essentials like certain cooking/baking ingredients, toilet roll, and kitchen roll). The rate is based on our average energy consumption, so in colder months, we may need to pay the difference for a higher energy bill, which we work out and contribute to equally. The deposit is £300.
Four of us are longer-term residents of the flat, one woman, one non-binary and two men in our 20s and 30s. We’re sociable and get along well while also respecting each other’s space, enjoy having house dinners and celebrations together, watching films, going on hikes and pitch and putt on the links! We keep up with a twice-monthly chore chart and tidy up after ourselves. One flatmate's partner has a very sweet, small dog who is a fairly regular visitor, so this set-up probably wouldn't suit someone who's allergic to dogs.
