Hello! I’m looking to rent out the second room of my (lovely) flat in Marchmont.
Perks of the flat:
- Quiet tree-lined street
- Spacious rooms
- Shared garden space at the back of the property
- Newly installed log burner in the living room
- Newly installed shower-room (WIP so no photos!)
- Central location with loads of bus connections from Newington Road
- Meadows at the bottom of the street for runs / summer BBQs
- Well-stocked kitchen equipment with larder for extra storage
A bit about me – I grew up in Belgium but have British parents and went to school in Edinburgh so it always felt like home. Moved back in 2024 after having lived in London for 7 years. I work a typical Monday-Friday job and am in the office 4/5 days a week. I love being outdoors, listening to music/nights out, cooking for my friends, staying active, pub with pals, discovering new places to eat, hiking/cycling trips and the occasional bit of photography.
I have previously lived in house-shares with all guys, all gals and a mix of both so perfectly happy either way. It’s more about the person! I had someone in the room over summer which worked really nicely. Appreciate that everyone is different so not too prescriptive about what I’m looking for but I’ve laid out some of the reasons why we both enjoyed living together below.
Sociable – inviting one another to social gatherings, bedroom doors typically open (within reason!), find TV shows to watch together
Meals – cooking meals and eating together every so often
Limiting noise – understanding when others are trying to sleep and keeping noise to a minimum at these times
Initiative – taking the initiative to do cleaning jobs and buying household items to do so
Would preferably like someone that doesn’t work from home on a permanent basis and is in a stable job/study situation.
