We have a lovely double bedroom in Morningside available in our three-bedroom flat.
RENT
The rent is £460 pcm. Including heating, electric, and internet it comes up to ~£510 (if you're a full-time student) or ~£590 including council tax (if you’re a professional).
Move in by 1 Feb, but earlier can be negotiated..
FLATMATES
We are a LGBTQIA+ / LGBTQIA+ friendly household. The flat is shared with two very chill and easygoing ladies in their late 20s/early 30s. I'm an academic who loves reading and lifting weights and my flatmate Lauren is a vet student who enjoys yoga and horseback riding (she has an adorable pony named Phoebe :)). We also share the flat with two lovely dogs, Islay and Estel - you won't have to look after the dogs but you'll get all the cuddles. We are both very studious during working hours, so you'll have all the privacy you need, but we are always up for a chat, a cup of tea, or movie night :)
THE ROOM
The room is fully furnished, spacious, with a lot of natural light. It has a double bed with memory foam mattress, a large built-in desk, small TV, and two wardrobes as storage space for clothes, books and boxes.
The flat is on the second floor of the building. You'll have a shared bathroom with a bathtub and a shower with great water pressure. The kitchen has a fridge, oven, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, and a gas range for easy cooking. There is also a spacious living room that gets lots of morning light with couches, a large table, and an exercise bike (useful in covid times!). We also have a shared garden with a little deck for the summer, ideal for yoga or relaxing with friends in non-covid times. There is free on street parking and space for bikes in the stairwell of the building.
THE AREA
The area is nice and quiet and the neighbours are all very friendly, with Morningside Road just around the corner. It's very enjoyable if you're outdoorsy! It's got cute walks and it's close to the canal, Harrison Park and Easter Hill (stunning view!). We are also literally 1 min walk from the Craighouse nature area. And Morningside Road's independent cafés and businesses are always a bonus. Buses 23 and 36 stop two minutes away and will quickly take you to the city centre, or to big Sainsbury's and Asda.
We're looking for a professional or student who's over 25, preferably female, chill and sociable, clean respectful of shared spaces who loves dogs.
