Furnished Double Room in Morningside

Furnished double bedroom in a 2 bed flat in Morningside. Comes with double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, desk and desk chair.

Shared living room, kitchen/diner and bathroom. The bedroom has plenty of space for storage, however, there is also a large coat cupboard in the hall for extra space.

The flat is council band D (£166 currently so £83 each). Bills are £145 per month including WiFi so £72 each.

The flat is right across the road from a bus stop with main bus routes into town (about 20mins to Princes St). There’s on street parking available with a permit (about £35 for the year). There’s a small Sainsbury’s and Margiotta just up the street for a shop, and there’s a big Tesco and Lidl about an 8 min drive away. Morningside is full of cute coffee shops and cafes with lots of brunch spots and nice restaurants.

About me:

I’m 25 and work as a junior doctor in A&E. I work a pretty varied shift pattern meaning I can be 9-5 one week and on nightshift the next. The flat is pretty spacious so noise travelling isn’t really an issue, but someone that’s respectful given I might be sleeping after nights / up early is important (and I would do the same back!).

When I do have time off I love going for brunch dates and coffee in Morningside. I’m a big foodie so love going out to dinner or cooking new recipes at home. I’m always up for a night out and love to go for drinks with friends. I do like to have friends over too, but I’m big on chill nights in so I tend to meet people out and keep the flat cozy and calm to relax in after work.

I currently rent the flat with my partner who is moving for work in August, so looking for someone to move in end of August/beginning of September. We’ve lived here for the last year and loved it. The landlord is keen to avoid another tenancy change, so looking for someone that can stay for at least the next year.
