Description
*I'm arranging viewings from Thurs 6th Feb*
Hello, we are looking for a long-term flatmate to live with us in a 3-person flatshare in Morningside.
The move-in date is the 5th March 2025. The rent is £420 a month + approx £55 for council tax + £65 for utilities. There is a £410 deposit. It’s a furnished double room, which you will have an individual lease for with our private landlord, who is responsive and easy to deal with. Looking for someone who is willing to share the council tax bill between the three of us.
In terms of accessibility, the flat is on the second floor of a building without a lift. It’s on a quiet street in a quiet building. The bedrooms do not have double glazing and can be on the colder side during the winter months. The living room is double glazed and warmer. There is a shared garden.
I'm a recently qualified counsellor. I enjoy being in nature, foraging, baking, sharing food, cats, reading, yoga, an early bedtime. Ali (she/her) is a writer who works from home and likes to go out regularly to forage, climb, hike, and attend evening classes. At home, she sometimes likes to cook for flatmates and have the odd board game or film night.
An ideal new flatmate would be easy-going, respectful, relatively eco-conscious, willing to understand others and to take care of the space. Not a party flat. Looking for flatmates who have mental health awareness and are LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent friendly. We're hoping to create a peaceful atmosphere in the flat, with a nice balance of connection and personal space. I’d enjoy shared meals/film nights/time together.
If you're interested, please write a little about yourself. I'm going to take my time reading through the responses so please bear with me.
