We are looking for a long-term flatmate to live with us in a 3-person flatshare in Morningside.
The move-in date is mid-November 2025. The rent is £400 a month + approx £55 for council tax (Band D) + £65 for utilities. There is a £400 deposit. It’s a furnished double room, which you will have an individual lease for with our private landlord, who is responsive and easy to deal with. Looking for someone who is willing to share the council tax bill between the three of us.
In terms of accessibility, the flat is on the second floor of a building without a lift. It’s on a quiet street in a quiet building. There is a shared garden and on-street permit parking available. Unfortunately, we're not allowed pets.
Ali (she/her) is a writer who works from home and likes to go out regularly to forage, climb, hike, and attend evening classes. At home, she reads, plays music, and sometimes likes to cook for flatmates and have the odd board game or film night.
Paulie (they/them) is a professional who works 4 days in person and one from home, who enjoys quiet nights in and nature excursions, crafts, plant care, reading, and watching tv on days off.
We're both around 30. An ideal new flatmate would be a friendly, respectful (preferably queer) person who's happy to help out with chores and keeping the place reasonably clean/tidy. Not a party flat. We're hoping to create a peaceful atmosphere in the flat, with a nice balance of connection and personal space. We'd enjoy shared meals/film nights/time together.
