Description
Peaceful double bedroom in quiet, leafy area with good bus routes, and just a short walk from Morningside's shops, cafes, bars etc. Rent includes all bills, Council Tax & high-speed WiFi.
The room is a spacious double bedroom, west facing onto leafy back garden. It has double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, shelving, desk and so on.
We’re looking for someone mature and independent, who enjoys a sociable chat now and again, but is basically getting on with their own life and is happy in their own space.
The house works best for people who work normal (ish) hours. Sorry but it’s not really suitable for anyone who works shifts.
Also, sorry again, but it's NOT suitable for anyone who works or studies from home. That’s because Chris teaches Qi Gong here, I have some online and music projects, and we sometimes have family here. Having said all that, it’s a really nice place for anyone who likes a calm place when they’re not at work!
We have a large, light kitchen / dining room, shared garden-room, 2 bathrooms, big garden, fast broadband. Also a secure garage to store your bike, and free on-street parking.
We are a busy, independent household - Chris and I, plus one other renter. Occasionally one of our grown up kids stays a night. We are sometimes away, and we love hiking, travel and wild places. We’re also into films, books, 5R dance, ideas, music etc.
Chris teaches Qui Gong and does pottery. I love the outdoors, wild swimming, and I try to brush up my French and Spanish. I used to mess around with horses too.
The Greenbank area is green and peaceful, with lovely walks nearby. Good bus routes are nearby and get you into town in 15 minutes or less (11, 15 & 16 via Bruntsfield / Lothian Rd, 5 to Newington, 23 to The Mound), and also to Edinburgh and Napier University sites. It is also easy to get to the Roslin Institute, the Bush Vet Campus, Pentland Science Park.
No smoking, and sorry, we both like animals, but no pets (except tiny ones, e. g. gerbils!).
So, do get in touch if you think you’re a good fit. Please tell us a bit about yourself! Your work, your interests etc, and all that.
Thanks!
