Hi there! I’m looking for a considerate and easygoing lodger to share my peaceful, light-filled top-floor flat in Musselburgh. The room is available in my two-bedroom home on a quiet, dead-end street with plenty of parking and easy access to both nature and city life.

PLEASE NOTE: Photos are of the correct room, but the curtains and furniture have changed. I am away for work this month but can send updated photos once I'm home. The main change is that the curtains are now white, and the bed has been replaced with a Fyresdal daybed.

*About the Flat*
The flat is bright and airy throughout, with a lovely shared back garden where birdsong fills the day — a peaceful spot to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening wind-down. You’ll be just steps from Fisherrow Links, the beach, and the River Esk, and a short stroll from North High Street and the town centre.

You’ll have a small but cosy bedroom that gets loads of natural light. It’s currently furnished with a brand new IKEA Fyresdal day-bed, which functions as a single or pulls out into a double, depending on your preference. There’s underbed storage, and while there’s no wardrobe in the room at the moment, there’s a large hall closet just outside that you're welcome to use. If needed, I’m happy to look into adding a wardrobe as well.

We’ll share the bathroom and a comfortable, open-plan kitchen/living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, and extras like a crockpot, bread machine, and blender.

*About Me*
I’m a writer in my free time and work professionally in film and television. I mostly work from home but travel quite a bit for work and pleasure, so you’ll often have the flat to yourself.

I love meeting new people, but I'm also an introvert — I really value a peaceful home and enjoy companionable quiet as much as a good chat over dinner. Ideally, I’m looking for someone who is mature, tidy, respectful, and values their own space as much as they respect others’.

I'm also an animal lover and open to calm, friendly pets, so if you have a well-behaved furry companion, let’s chat!

A few minutes' walk to the River Esk, North High Street, and Musselburgh town centre

2-minute walk to a bus stop with frequent services to central Edinburgh (about 30 mins depending on traffic)

I’m currently away for work until late next month, so the listing photos are from when I purchased the flat. The kitchen has been repainted and the furniture throughout the flat has been updated since then — I’ll happily share updated photos once I’m back.
