Easy walking to Penicuik, direct buses to Edinburgh (9 miles to city centre) and 2.5 miles to the Bush Estate. Close to woodland walks in the Penicuik Estate and hikes available in the Pentland hills. Also nearby are the scenic historic towns of Roslin and Peebles.
