Room for rent - Stockbridge / Canonmills area

My flatmate is moving out to go on her travels and I’m looking for someone to take over her tenancy!

We stay in a really lovely flat in Stockbridge / Canonmills area and my flatmate occupies the larger room (fully furnished). It’s about a 10 minute walk to princes street and around 5 minutes from the heart of Stockbridge so you’re never stuck for a coffee or vino.

There’s currently some work being done to the building next door to us, so the room would probably suit someone who is generally in the office on week days or works sociable hours. It can be a little noisy during the day from mon - fri.

I’m a big reader and love movies and listening to records, so it would be great to live with someone who shares some of those interests!! That said, as long as you don’t mind there being a film on in the living room most days, we’ll get along just fine.

Rent is currently £700 per person (we’ve been told this could increase with the new tenancy, I would of course half the increase).
Bills would add an approximate £180 to this per month.

Bills before halved:
Council tax - £180
WiFi - £33
Tv Licence - £30 (will decrease to £15 in 4 months)
Gas & electricity - £120 (taken from a winter month when the heating was on - bills can really vary as the seasons change)

My flatmate is looking to move out at the end of October but can be pretty flexible on dates.
