Room in central Elgin

I have a room to rent in my beautiful old town house in the centre of Elgin.

The house is close to the train station and just a few minutes' walk to the centre of Elgin and Dr Gray's hospital.

I’m slowly renovating the house to its former glory. It's currently stripped back to bare plaster, old wallpaper and floorboards. It has masses of character, is warm and tidy with all the normal modern amenities; internet, dishwasher etc, etc.

If you like beautiful old quirky art filled spaces and don’t mind a bit if dust around the edges, you’ll likely love it. Do look at the photos, if you’d prefer ultra-modern it's probably not for you.

The bedroom is a medium size with a desk, small set of drawers and space for hanging and a cupboard for storing clothes. (there are black out curtains just not in the photos). The kitchen is small but very well equipped (I love to cook). There’s a dining room and cosy lounge to relax in with a projector and large screen for movies etc.

There are plenty of towels and all-natural linen/cotton bedding and feather or wool duvets.

There's a small but verdant garden to relax in the summer months.

I’m friendly and enjoy a catch up over a cup of tea, but my working hours are long so this would suit someone considerate who also appreciates a peaceful home and a relaxing atmosphere. When I'm not doing DIY I'm in the forest, walking on the beach or up a mountain.

At present I work away at least 4 days per week so you would mostly have the place to yourself. When I’m home, I have my friendly dog with me.

The house is strictly no smoking.

I’m looking to rent the room in-between renovation stints, so this would likely suit someone in Elgin for a placement, work contract, digital nomad etc, for 3 to 6 months, potentially more but not indefinitely.

The room is available now. I would also be happy with a Monday to Friday let for a reduced rate.
