Are you a reliable, communicative, clean & tidy person, prepared to fully engage with household maintenance, such as keeping kitchen surfaces wiped, oven cleaned and floors vacuumed if you make a mess?
Available for an initial four months, I can offer you a clean and comfortable ground-floor room with king size bed in my home. Good bedroom storage space. The ground floor cloakroom with sink and toilet is next door to the bedroom. Access to a larger shared* bathroom - with bath and shower is on the 2nd floor (*for the sole use of the lodger, unless there is any additional visitor in residence), a decent-sized living room, shared study, shelf space in the fridge, freezer drawer and a small kitchen cupboard space. There is a small, yard garden outside with a large table and bench. You are welcome to use all communal areas.
I am a non-smoking professional.
This is my own home, in council tax band C. It is fully furnished with kitchenware. There isn't space to duplicate things such as cutlery, pots, pans and plates - you may use all of mine with care, although your own mug would be useful.
I own two, large, hairy, indoor cats. It is important that any potential resident loves cats, has no allergies, isn't squeamish and is prepared to muck-in with their care, ensuring that no-one lets them out of the front door.
There are good public transport links to the city from nearby and usually plenty of free on road parking space around. It is a generally quiet area.
Note that for anyone needing to access the university or NNUH on a daily basis, it is a very long journey by bus (requiring a change in the city centre) although just 20 minutes away if you have your own car (or even bicycle!)
The room is available from 10th May 2026 until end August 2026 for an initial four and a half months (possibly longer but tbc)
I have had some work done on the house since the original photos were taken and I will be uploading new photos soon when the work is 100% complete.
