SHORT-TERM LET FOR EARLY 2025 Our self-contained basement suite - private bedroom, shower room and kitchenette - is available for a two-month, short-term let this winter. It is available from the end of January, 2025, to the end of March, 2025. I am afraid it is not available for any longer than this and it is not available any earlier than this. With a large bedroom, small shower room and kitchenette, this is a space we normally let on a nightly basis to cast and crew from theatre companies performing in Norwich for £45 a night. We have, however, from time to time let the space out for longer stretches at a reduced rate. Due to certain circumstances this coming winter we are looking for someone interested in taking it for this period only. We live in a four-storey Victorian house in Norwich's Golden Triangle area. We are 10 mins walk from the city centre, two minutes from local shops and pubs, and well placed for buses to the university and hospital. This is an area favoured by those working at the hospital, science park and uni, as well as students. Permanently living in the house but not sharing any living space will be two longer-term lodgers. Everyone has their own bathroom and cooking facilities and so lives very separately. The basement suite is also self-contained. Despite it being a good size, we are not interested in letting to two people unfortunately. It is also unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility, working from home, with pets or who smokes. Those staying in the basement enter via the front door that everyone uses. They then walk down the hall to the door to the basement. Once this door is closed behind them they are in their own private space. Stairs lead down to the main room, a good-sized bedroom, which we arrange as two singles or one super-king-size (by pushing the beds together.) There is a window well. Also in the basement is a small shower room with loo and a small kitchenette. Please note this has no large oven or hob. There is a microwave/grill, toaster, kettle, fridge, coffee machine and washing machine. There are also plug-in cooking pots. There is no shared use of the main kitchen in the house so this property would not be suitable for anyone looking to undertake serious cooking. Although those living here do not interact much, this is a friendly household and it is therefore essential for us to choose the right person. We are therefore very much interested in starting to chat to anyone who might be looking for a short-term let this winter - for a temporary work placement, course, contract at the hospital etc etc. If an agreement was reached we would require one month's rent as a holding deposit. This would then become a refundable damage deposit. All bills, including broadband, are inclusive. We pay the council tax.
