Description
I have just bought my first house on my own and am looking for a lodger to live with me and my sausage dog!
The sale is currently all going through and I have a completion date of 20th May. I am looking for a housemate to move in mid June time.
I will share photos of the room currently with anyone that is interested, so you can get idea of the size. However, it’s the main double room in a terraced house. It would be unfurnished or partly furnished, I do have a spare double bed that can be put in there if required as well as a clothes rail and other bits of furniture. I am happy for my housemate to decorate the room as they choose, so this can be made yours and homely how you would like it.
My dog is a small Black and Tan miniature dachshund, who can be quite barky when he first meets people. however, it doesn't take him long to get used to people if you make the effort to get to know him and spend a little but of time with him. So you must like dogs, he is very affectionate and loving once he knows you. I would also consider a lodger with a small dog themselves, but they must be a male dog, as mine has not yet been neutered. When I previously had my own home, I used to also offer dog boarding services, so this is something i may consider offering again in the future. My mum also has a dog who would likely often visit, so your dog would need to be quite sociable.
The home I have bought has a living area, dining room, modern kitchen and bathroom which would all be shared with me. It has a good size garden with access from the kitchen and also round the back of the house.
The house is on a main road, with road parking which has plenty of space. Loads of amenities on the road Aldi, take aways and pubs. Good walking distance into the city and walks in mousehold.
I work full-time as a social worker, I do work from home but do also go into the office and have lots of home visits to families i am working with. I have weekends off. I would love to live with another professional who maybe has a similar role but not required.
I am quite an organised, clean and tidy person so would appreciate communal areas being kept this way. I would also consider having a cleaner, as i did have one before and this was a life safer when working full-time, she used to come once per fortnight for a couple of hours, so i may consider this again if needed.
Do contact me if you have any further questions, as I really would like to find the right person to live with :)
