25 y/o Couple Renting a Room in Golden Triangle

Hi! We are Maisie and Tom, a couple living in the middle of the Golden Triangle.

Our house is a 15 minute walk from the city centre and 30 minute walk to UEA, with bus routes nearby. Good shops, pubs and cafes are all within VERY easy walking distance, in every direction.

We are advertising a very nice, light room. It is at the end of a corridor, so nice and private, and right next to the bathroom. It has a double bed, chest of drawers, fitted wardrobe, and shelf. It is reasonably compact with the double bed in, so it would suit someone who doesn't have too much stuff, or who wants to keep things minimal. If you needed more floor space there would potentially be the option of swapping the double bed for a single.

Shared spaces include a big living room, open plan kitchen and dining room, and a patio/garden outside the kitchen.

Bills are all included (gas, electricity, water, broadband, council tax) which is why we would prefer a professional - you will be automatically paying a share of the council tax, which could seem unfair to a student who isn't working.

We currently have two other lodgers - a lovely couple who live in a ground floor room. Although there are technically two couples in the house we are not remotely 'couple-y' couples. One of our lodgers works away a lot, and Tom and I have lived together for a couple of years, so we aren't glued to each other 24/7 - we are an easy couple to hang out with, even if I do say so myself.

I (Maisie) have recently qualified as a counsellor, and will be working partly at UEA and writing my MA dissertation this year. Tom is a primary school supply teacher.

We would like to live with someone who is easy to talk to in passing moments, is not averse to sharing the odd cup of tea, meal or film with us. We respect privacy and busy personal/professional lives however, and we are fairly busy ourselves. We have moved beyond the 'student living' kind of lifestyle, into the 'let's cook a nice meal and watch a film' kind of lifestyle, so if you're after an exciting party house, we may not be the house for you.

We'd like to have a fair split of cleaning the shared areas, so are looking for somebody who doesn't struggle chipping in too.
