*Overview*
We are 3 friends (2M, 1F) who recently met through SpareRoom, and are looking for a houseshare.
We noticed that there's a lot of demand for the 3-beds in & around Skipton, but far less demand for the 4 & 5-beds in the area – which also tend to be more affordable per person.
As a result we've been to view some nice & affordable large houses in & around Skipton, and we're just looking for 1-2 people who want to join us.
Part-furnished: the place we’re currently looking at, and others on our radar, all come unfurnished.
Between the three of us we have enough furniture for the communal areas, so you’d just need to provide furniture for your room. (Although if you plan to bring furniture, we can work something out).
---
*Moving Plans*
The property at the top of our list is available from 16th June.
Each individual’s name will be on the rental contract with the estate agent, and whenever someone wishes to leave, they just need to find a suitable replacement and conduct the administrative contract change with the estate agent.
---
*Bills*
We've estimated this will be around £100-125 monthly, per person. Approximately:
Council Tax - £50
Electricity - £30
Water - £15
Broadband - £10
Cleaner - £10
Therefore we expect the total monthly cost to be around £500-£550.
---
*About Us*
We all have our own lives and routines, and between us we’ve spent most of our adult lives living in house shares around the country. We're pretty relaxed, respectful, and used to shared living — clean without being intense about it, and enjoy socialising but also value our own space.
Between us, our hobbies include: hiking and swimming, travelling and running, yoga and painting.
We're not looking for a party house, just a comfortable, welcoming place to live with a good balance of independence, mutual respect and affordable living.
---
*Next Steps*
If you’re interested, feel free to send a brief introduction to yourself, including your current living arrangement.
If we think you sound like a good fit, we can arrange a voice or video call over the next week, and look at meeting in person at a coffee shop or pub.
If we’re all happy to proceed, we’ll put down a holding deposit for the property listed and begin referencing with the estate agent.
Although unlikely, if that property goes in the meantime, there are several others around Skipton that meet the same criteria & requirements.
