Housemate wanted for lovely house near Bishy Rd.!!

The house... is a terraced house on Nunmill Street (York). It is a good size for two people and features: two bedrooms, a bathroom with bathtub/shower, a living room, dining room, a galley kitchen, all the standard kitchen equipment/utensils, washing machine, dishwasher, and a useful bike storage locker in the yard (accessible from a secured back-alley).

It is situated just off the junction of Scarcroft Road and the award-winning Bishopthorpe Road where there is a Saisbury's Local as well as a superb range of local shops. It is approximately 10-15mins into the centre of town or to the train station and within walking (preferably cycling) distance of both universities. The street itself is quiet and the neighbours - along with the wider community - are friendly. There is on-street parking, though it does get rather busy.

The available room is at the rear of the house and is furnished with a 3/4 double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, and a desk (if required).

About me... I am currently working as a project mananger and bid writer for arts, social innovation, and alternative organisations. When I'm not working I enjoy going to gigs, reading, occasionally gaming, and running along the river.

About you... a decent, conscientious, mature housemate who will contribute to looking after the house and is preferably happy sharing basic essentials, occasionally cooking and eating meals together, and generally keeping the house a chilled out space to live, work, and socialise.

The deal is £400 per month rent plus approximately £150* per month bills per person. The landlords are a couple who live locally and are super responsive/helpful.

Key rules: No smoking inside the house. No pets.
