Large airy furnished double room available for professionals or postgrads/mature students in a recently renovated house.

I've recently bought my first house and I'm seeking someone to join me as a housemate. Ideally, someone who can treat the place like a home. I'm looking for someone who is sociable and is up for sharing meals together or even nights sitting in front of the telly.

The house is recently renovated and has a brand new kitchen/diner and bathroom with the usual mod cons. A dishwasher, massive integrated fridge freezer, washing machine that has WIFI and a lovely rainfall shower in the bathroom. The kitchen also has a pantry/utlility space.

I have a large back with a secure brick shed that can be used for bike storage. There is plenty of extra storage space in the house and more than in the slightly older pictures.

The house is a 20-minute walk to town, 20 minutes to the University of York and about 30 minutes walk to the hospital. On-street parking is available with no permit needed or off-street for a small hatchback.

I work for a higher education charity and work from home using the third room as an office. I'm happy to share this space with a new housemate as I do often work away as well.

All bills are included in the price with utilities, council tax, high-speed internet, and TV packages. If renting to a full-time student then will lower the rent amount for the council tax exemption.

Room available from 01 May, though if you need to move in earlier then happy to discuss.

Room available for an initial 6 months, but happy to look at shorter contract of 3 months plus.
