Single bedroom close to UoY and City Centre

A lovely room with a view is available in a three-bedroom semi-detached house in the Tang Hall area, very close to the University of York (about 10 minutes walking distance from the chemistry department) and the city centre.

The bedroom has a single bed, spacious wardrobe, chest of draws, study desk, office chair and a kettle. I provide beddings, towels, a duvet and pillows. The room has two large windows that face the garden and is ideal for those who like watching the nature.

We have an open-plan kitchen in the house which also serves as the communal area. The kitchen is fully equipped, there is a fridge with a freezer, extra freezer, microwave, toaster and an electric cooker, as well as a washing machine with a tumble dryer. Plates, pots, pans, cups and cutlery are all included. There is a bike shed, plenty of space for a car (or even a minivan!) and a secure parking spot for a motorbike or a moped with a ground anchor. The property has a 24-hour CCTV camera in operation. Perhaps the best part of the property is perhaps the garden, which is very specious, has a sitting area and a masonry BBQ (best appreciated in summer!).

About our household. In many ways, this is definitely a quiet household and a lovely one too😊. At the moment there are two tenants in the house: wonderful and kind ladies in their 20s who likes reading, yoga and are very intelligent; both are young professionals. I (the landlady) also live in the house. I’m currently doing my master’s degree at the University of York and work weekends (I’m in my 30s).

There is Londis shop and a medical centre across the road from the property. A small Co-op on Tang Hall Lane and a large Co-op on Hull Road both about 5-7 minutes away. For those who are into fitness, there is a world class David Lloyd gym about 5 minutes away or (a much cheaper option!) Hull Road Park that has free tennis and basketball courts (about 5 minutes away). Finely, there is an easy access to A64 from the house which makes it perfect for commuters. All bills included!
