Description
Looking for a friendly housemate to move into a spacious double room in a great location. Pretty quick turnaround, tenancy starts on 1st November, but hoping to find someone soon!
I’m Chris, 28 year old professional male. Polly, my current housemate, is moving in with her partner, just down the street, and I’m looking for a friendly and easy-going person to renew the tenancy.
We’ve lived in this house for 18 months and loved it. It’s a great location, a stones throw from local cafes, pubs, and shops , a 30 second walk to the river and 10 minutes into town.
It’s the perfect size for two sharers, with a shared bathroom, cosy living room, kitchen and sunny courtyard. The neighbourhood is lovely and friendly (hence my housemate isn’t leaving it), there’s even a street WhatsApp!
I’m pretty laidback, and enjoy a mix of outdoor exploring, TV, crafting, cooking and, of course, a pint at the pub. I’ve recently taken up Tag Rugby! My girlfriend stays over a couple of nights a week. She really loves cats, so that’s a bonus if you do too!
Polly and I have enjoyed hosting friends in the house every now and then and generally we’ve had a nice balance of hanging out and relaxing in our own space. It would be great to find someone to continue that with!
The Room:
A large furnished room with double bed, chest of drawers, bedside table, and an in-built cupboard with hanging space. Two bright windows and there’s space for a desk as well (the furniture in the photo not listed belong to my housemate and will be taken when she moves).
The House:
Modern and well maintained. Easy to keep tidy. Some of the furnishing and plants will disappear when Polly goes, but that’ll leave space for whoever moves in to make it feel like their home too. On street parking is also available with a permit, and there’s never a problem with spaces.
The Tenancy:
1 Year Lease, starting on 1st November, deposit £625. Cost £800 pcm: Rent £625 per month, bills come in at no more than £175 each per month. Landlord is responsive and easy to reach.
Housemate Review:
“Chris is an absolute gem. Kind, easy-going, and funny (this past year I have learnt the art of sarcasm and wit). He’ll make you a cuppa when you’re sad, and leave you alone when you’re grumpy. On occasion he’s even left me some coffee when he’s gone to work before me - see picture I forced him to attach.
All round good egg and lovely house. I’ll be sad to leave this little patch we’ve called home for the last 18 months.”
Any other questions, please get in touch!
