Description

Hi Everyone!

I am the current tenant living in this beautiful apartment located just outside of the city walls next to Monk Bar. It is a 30 second walk to Sainsbury’s, less than 5 minutes to the Minster and less than 10 minutes to the train station. For buses, it is a 5 minute walk to Piccadilly where most buses go from.

The room is available now and comes part furnished with a bed and side table that I just purchased from John Lewis (so nothing cheap!) and recently painted too. The only furniture you would need to buy would be a wardrobe & perhaps a small desk (however I always use the table in the living room). I bought a bed that has space to store items underneath too. The room has a great view of the city walls from the window, which is a real treat.

Also, you would have your own bathroom which has a shower and bath (not en-suite as it isn’t connected; however next door to the bedroom is). There are two bathrooms in the apartment so I will use the other giving you this to yourself! The bathroom is incredible which can be seen from the photos. I really believe that the bathrooms make this apartment.

The living room is very spacious and feels even bigger than it is due to the celling being really high (as it is the top apartment). I have a TV and games console; however due to my job don’t get to use either that often. You are more than welcome to use either at any time and if you have or would like a bigger television I can always put mine in my room. Also, this room combines with the kitchen (see photos). The kitchen has everything that you want (cooker, big fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine & dryer, blender etc.) and has many big work surfaces so, if like me and you enjoy cooking, you can really cook up a masterpiece!

Overall the apartment is immaculate. I keep the place clean and enjoy having a nice home to come to. Saying this, I am not OCD on keeping it clean but would ask whoever moves in just to be respectful and do their bit in keeping it clean.

A little about me. I am currently working at Aviva as a trainee Actuary so am looking for someone similar to move, meaning a young professional working within York. A postgraduate student would be acceptable as long as you are considerate about noise at night. Saying this, I am out going on the weekends and do enjoy having a few drinks at night and enjoying everything York has to offer. There are a lot of graduates at Aviva and we normally head out on a Saturday night which you will be more than welcome to come along to (we always get other people tagging along). I play football on Monday nights, go for runs often and play other sports on various other nights with a little bit of the gym thrown in there too. I enjoy keeping up-to-date on current affairs and trade stocks and shares regularly too. As we are living together, it would be nice to have a few things in common 

I feel that people who view this place really will love it. It is extremely clean, modern and is perfectly situated in the city.

The financials. If you did decide you wanted to move in, you would be required to pay £150 to the estate agent for a credit check & for the relevant contracts to be drawn up (standard procedure). The rent would then be £350 with a deposit require of £400. Bills would then be split between us with it coming to no more than £70/£80 per month each.

If you have any questions, please do get in touch. If you would like to view the property, I am available most evenings after 5pm and most of the time on weekends.
