This is a really decent sized double bedroom over looking the garden in a terrace house in Acomb. The room available is part furnished with a king size bed, chest of drawers and a hanging rail style wardrobe. The room has become available as the current tenant's sister is moving away to live with her partner.

The house itself has a bohemian character with exposed floorboards, stone floor, period features and vintage feel. there is a shared sitting room, dining area, kicthn and bathroom. the yard is a 'secret garden' with lovely seating spaces, fireplace and great for a candle lit BBQ in the summer. The house has a new boiler, washing machine, fridge freezer, cooker replaced, good storage space, secure bike parking in the yard, a shed and space for friends to stay over.

The area is great for all the local shops including, Morrisons, Boyes, a greengrocers, charity shops, mini barnitts, banks and takeaways. really good area to get everything you need, go for a run round hob moor, cycle into town super quick or get on the roads out of York too. There is parking on street outside the house. I spent a very happy 9 years living in the house, but had to move away for work reasons.

The current house mate is a friend of mine and a lovely woman. she's just finishing her nursing degree whilst also working and setting up an online clothes selling business. she's very friendly, aged 24 and has a lovely cat living with her too. I would totally recommend her as a flat mate and will want to get a good flatmate to get on with her for the time you're living together. would probably prefer a young woman with similar interests although all lovely people are welcome.

The existing housemate works shifts, but is usually home at around 8.30pm, reading or watching TV with a glass of wine.
