Quiet semi rural area on a private road in the village of Gt. Oakley (on the edge of Corby). Property is an 1845 ex-estate brick cottage with a modern extension and features broadband WiFi in all rooms. The large, shared, bathroom which is downstairs includes bath with shower over. The bathroom has very generous amounts of allocated personal cupboard space and blue mood lighting. The rooms currently available both have timbered ceilings and walls. Both the ground and 1st floor room overlook the rear garden and village.
The property offers a private garden at the front with rambling fruit trees and a 10 metre washing line. The kitchen is large and spacious with plenty of allocated personal cupboard space and an 8 burner hob with two ovens. Appliances include , microwave and washing machine. The bedrooms have there own TV's and DVD player with free, on demand Netflix TV and Freeview TV. My current lodgers have been with me for 3 years and 2 1/2 years. The lodger who's room has become available was here for 6 years. Local amenities include a large supermarket and doctor surgery within walking distance (1/2 mile), takeaways, pharmacies and dentist etc 1 mile away. Corby town centre 3 miles, Corby train station 5 miles (not main line) Kettering train station 8 miles, 55 minutes direct to London, A14, 5 miles, M6 & M1 north 19 miles, M1 south 15 miles. As the live in landlord I current have a room in the property. I cannot currently take pets or DHSS, I’m sorry I can make no exception to this. The current tenants are both friendly, easy going and considerate and I would look to find someone willing to show the same considerations. As a landlord I am a considerate, professional person who is looking for a like minded tenant to enjoy sharing a lovely clean and tidy home.
