A double room in a Victorian Terraced property in St James, Northampton. The house overlooks Victoria Park. The room is of a good size with double bed and wardrobe, curtains, desk, chest of drawers, Virgin Media V+ (Big Daddy)and 152MB 24/7 wifi. Pretty much full use of the house facilities is included - lounge with 40in LCD, Tivo, surround sound, bluetooth, open fireplace, leather sofa, chesterfield chair with footstool. Kitchen has range cooker, American style fridge freezer with cold water / ice dispenser, dishwasher, microwave, wine cooler and ample storage. Rear garden has room for bike storage in garage. Gas, electricity, internet, tv, council tax etc are all included EXCEPT for the usual phone calls, food, drink, consumables etc. The bathroom has an electric shower, bath, sink and toilet and there is a downstairs toilet and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The property is less than 10mins walk to the station and approximately 15mins walk to the town centre. There are shops etc very nearby. I will be a "live in" landlord but work shifts so am often out. There is 1 very friendly cat who is allowed downstairs but not upstairs. This house would suit a commuter (I commute to London every day for shift work), nurse/HCA (hospital a 10min drive) or anyone looking for a relaxed, quiet place to live comfortably at a very reasonable price. The rent for the room is 350 per month for a single occupant or £475 for a couple. A deposit of a months rent would be payable and refunded upon leaving. A months rent in advance would be required also and can be paid either in cash or into the bank. I apologise but due to previous experience I do not accept DSS or other vouchers. References would be required and a standard contract used. A minimun of 4 weeks notice would be required/given to vacate the property.
