Attic room & private shower room in lovely house

I have a cosy attic room with its own private shower room in a large and comfortable detached house in the desirable location of Mapperley Park, Nottingham.

The house is a beautiful 1930s Arts & Crafts style detached property on a corner plot with established gardens and a deck that's a suntrap during the summer. With tastefully decorated rooms, a large, fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, and a large orangery that's also a cinema room with surround sound, it's a lovely, homely place to live. There's a large sitting room for shared use, a separate dining room and a utility room.

Situated close to a bus route on the Mansfield Road, the house is about ten minutes from the city centre by bus and 25 minutes if walking in. There are good local shops and restaurants, cafes and bars nearby.

I work as the Music Programme Manager at the Royal Concert Hall in the city centre. My wife is currently working in Edinburgh and whilst she makes regular trips home I appreciate some company and a bit of conversation when she's away. Having said that, the house is large enough to allow plenty of privacy.

I'm a sociable, considerate and tidy person so I'm looking for someone similar, a working professional or postgrad student, who likes a bit of a chat and, ideally, shares an interest in culture and the arts (it's not essential, though). Gardeners are welcome, too - this house has a big one!

Apart from me, you would be sharing the house with Phil, a gentle giant from South Africa who makes designs for digital dentistry. We also have two delightful guinea pigs - Pootle and Perkin.
