Non smoking house and leafy gardens in conservation area.
Accommodation over 3 floors with 2 kitchens and 3 bathrooms. Very spacious and peaceful. Lots of outside space to enjoy.

PLEASE NOTE THIS HOUSE IS IN NEWARK, 20 MILES FROM NOTTINGHAM. We get a lot of enquiries from people working/ studying in Nottingham who don't realise this.

The cosy single room available is on the first floor and shares kitchen and bathroom with 4 others. The kitchen has two sinks and there are two fridge/ freezers and plenty of storage space. There is also a washing machine, tumble drier and an outside airer.

Room is single occupancy only, sorry we can't accommodate couples.

It’s a single room with single bed, chest of drawers, tabletop mirror, bedside cupboard and good size wardrobe. The room has a lovely leafy view from its large window which benefits from getting the sun in the afternoon.

Current housemates are looking for a quiet, clean and tidy person who is friendly/ sociable but respects others space. Most housemates are longer term and some have returned more than once. The record is three times! The longest we have had anyone stay is 15 years and counting.

There is a great atmosphere and in the words of current housemates “people who care” and "delightful". From a former housemate, a sentiment echoed by many, "The Elms will always hold a special place in my heart".

Landlords are local and manage the house personally, sorting out any issues promptly.

Shared areas are cleaned on a weekly/ bi-weekly basis.

Bill contribution which is included in the total of £393 covers actual costs and is fixed through the year. They are kept as low as possible. The bills cover council tax, water, Wifi and gas/electricity. The £393 is split into £260 rent and £133 bills.

10 minute walk into town and to leisure centre/ pool/ gym. Great circular walk round Balderton Lake is only a 10 minute walk away, near the leisure centre.
Good transport links in Newark via 2 train stations (15 minute walk) plus bus stop round the corner.
