Description
TLDR:
Bright double room in a modern, well-kept home with fast broadband, smart-tech, garden, parking, and excellent village facilities. Friendly live-in landlord household, suitable for a professional or postgrad student for a comfortable, respectful and sociable home. Radcliffe is a great place to live, and surprisingly convenient to work or study in Nottingham and further afield.
The room and cost 💹
This is the second bedroom, and is at the front of the house. It has a double bed with memory foam mattress, a large built-in double wardrobe with hangers and other organisation, a matching bedside table and larger vanity unit, a desk, ergonomic chair, an Amazon Alexa, and smart colour lighting via the main light, and matching floor and desk lamps.
**The room is going to be redecorated on 1st and 2nd June, so would be available as soon as the paint has dried**.
You would largely have the main bathroom to yourself (except on the occasion when someone wants a bath as the ensuite is a shower room).
It is £650 per month, all inclusive, including council tax and all household bills, with a £650 deposit.
The house 🏡: This is a 4 bed new build house which 3 of us would live in, and stuffed with helpful smart home technology. Smart lighting in most of the rooms, Hive heating, a robot vacuum and mop, Amazon Alexa devices everywhere, and more. High speed fibre optic broadband included.
Living area 🍕: L-shaped modern kitchen with built in double oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, 4 burner gas hob, a Virgin water bar for filtered and chilled or heated water, plus all the usual kitchen appliances like a toaster, microwave, air fryer, plus crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils.
There is also a dining table which can fold out to accommodate 6 people, a sofa and armchair with a flatscreen TV
There is a second fridge freezer in the laundry room, so plenty of space for the three of us. The laundry room also has a Samsung smart washing machine and tumble dryer.
Entertainment room📺: with a games area for boardgames/further dining table and a large selection of boardgames, plus a seating area around the large TV with surround sound from a Sonos system, with Apple TV, a BluRay player, and a classic PS3.
There is a WC off the hallway.
Outside🌷: there is a good sized back garden which is decently private too. A garage (used for storage), a driveway for 2 cars. It is a corner plot so there is also ample space for parking around the side of the house.
Housemates👯♂️: You would be sharing with a friendly live-in landlord who works as a lawyer (sometimes from home), and his partner who works in retail management. We’re a relaxed, professional, non-smoking household and we like to keep the home clean, calm, sociable, and respectful. We’re LGBTQ+ friendly and our place would suit a single person or a couple if you want a comfortable home rather than just a room.
House rules✅: the usual about keeping the place clean and tidy as you go along, sharing the cleaning tasks and bin duty, quiet time after 10:30pm on work nights.
Area☕️: Radcliffe on Trent is a well-served village with everyday essentials, including shops, cafes, pubs, takeaways, local services, green spaces and community facilities, so it feels convenient as well as pleasant to live in. It has loads of things you would want, and Nottingham city centre is only a 17 minute drive away.
Transport🚌: It’s also easy to get around using public transport. There is a bus stop at the top of the road to get the Rushcliffe Villager and 747 bus services. Radcliffe station is around 15 minutes walk, and the village centre another 3 minutes beyond with the very frequent Mainline bus service. The A46 is a 6 minute drive away for easy access to Newark and Leicester.
It would be lovely to hear from you! Let us know if you have any questions.
