Description
The existing housemate is an experienced teacher and typically leaves the house at 7am and returns between 4pm/5:30pm with the occasional late thursday where she comes home in the region of 9:30, which is usually a parents evening or open day.
There are no real requirements for the housemate particularly, there is a preference for females, those with pets and those with professional careers.
Council Tax: Band D
The property is quite nice, tall rooms, central location near waitrose and the town centre. There is no dedicated parking, but there is plenty of parking space on the road outside. The maintenance isn't the best, but that is reflected in the lower than market value rent.
You would be renting a large double bedroom with a chimney breast on the first floor and shared common areas; living room, cat room, enclosed back garden, kitchen and bathroom. The utilities, council tax and other monthly bills can be formatted a number of ways depending on the prospective tenant. We presently use a joint back account system, but would be open to other methods.
The room can be furnished with a single bed, standing desk and small chest of draws if desired, else wise I'll get rid of them before you assume ownership of the room.
There is an enclosed back garden which is where she stores her bike, the bins and bulk recycling for bin day.
The household is very cat friendly and is perfect for a pet friendly person or someone looking for a rentable pet friendly properly. They would also be happy to consider a small to medium cat friendly dog, after an introductory meeting or something.
There is a wide corridor that leads up to the 2nd floor and this is designated at the "cat/pet room", they'd be entirely happy for your little one to share the equipment listed below:
Litter Robot 4 Large cat tree
Large cat-it track toy
Automatic dry food feeder
Ceramic water fountain
Lots of cat toys and treats
We have not involved the landloard yet for simplicity, we're hoping to find a prospective tenant and go to the landlord with a fully formed proposition.
If you have any questions I am in the process of moving up North, so I am free almost any time of the day to answer questions or take more photos.
If the ad is still up, the property is still available.
