Hello all,
My flatmate is moving out, leaving a spare bedroom available in the apartment from January 1st. I’m open to professionals with a long-term commitment.
Location: Abingdon, 2 mins from Albert Park, 15 mins from the town centre, 20 mins from Tesco extra, Waitrose, Lidl, and Coop. It’s 3 mins from the X2 bus stop to Didcot or Oxford, and 10 mins for other buses. There are many local restaurants and pubs nearby.
The flat: top floor of a 5-flat building with two flights of stairs. Private parking and a shed with a lock for bikes, tools, etc. The neighbours are quiet.
Inside the flat: Each room is spacious, especially the living room and bedroom. There’s a spare room currently used for drying clothes, but it could be used for storage, a gym, drying clothes, an office, or a guest bedroom. There’s a bathroom for each, with yours being the larger one with a shower and bathtub.
Your bedroom: large double with a built-in wardrobe and double bed. It has a window facing west for beautiful sunsets. You’ll also have furniture like clothes drawers and bedside tables.
I work nearby as a teaching assistant for a nearby SEN school. I’m friendly, calm, and introverted. I value my own space and free time, but I’m happy to chat and hang out. I’m creative and enjoy learning about people’s passions and interests.
The flat has always been a calm space, and I’d like to keep it that way. Friends and family are welcome, but no crazy parties.
The new contract requires a monthly rent of £750. Council tax is currently £126 (half of the £252 total). Energy costs approximately £40 (£80 in total), and water costs £29 (£58 in total). Internet costs £12 (£24 in total).
The agency, Scott Fraser in Oxford, Cowley branch, will handle all checks, including references and fees. The deposit is about a month’s rent. Both the agency and landlord are usually attentive and prompt if any issues arise with the flat.
