Double available in a chill house :)

From early May (some flexibility with this), a double room will be available in my cosy 2-bed semi in central/south Abingdon (council tax band C). The bedroom comes with a bed (including a super-comfortable Sleepsoul mattress ^^), desk and chest of drawers. I have a chair and shelves to assemble if wanted and am happy to obtain a free-standing clothes rail if needed. The bedroom is south-facing and overlooks the garden - you'll get tonnes of light so a great room if you love your houseplants. :)

You'll have access to the whole property including my TV which comes with Netflix, Amazon and Spotify. Plenty of storage in the kitchen and very happy for you to use my cookware so long as you take care of it. I'm not a clean freak but I do like to try and tidy up as I go so someome with a similar mindset would be ideal.

Abingdon is close to Oxford & Didcot and you can get a single bus direct to either in under 30min.

Note: I plan on getting a rescue cat in the next few months, so please don't reach out if this is an absolute deal-breaker for you.

About me:

I'm Sam, a 31 years old scientist that's been working in Oxford biotech for 4 years. I work 5 days a week in the lab and work regular hours. In the evening, I like to go for runs, cook curries and generally chill out & recharge. At weekends, I'm either pottering about the house/garden doing bits of DIY or off seeing friends and going to gigs/raves. I sometimes have friends/family over to visit/stay, but I'd give you a heads up if this were happening.

Desireables:

I don't really ask much of any lodger other than that they be a chill, kind and considerate person to be around. I identify as non-binary so someone who is either LGBTQ+ or an ally would be ideal. I'm also vegeterian - while a fellow vegi/vegan would be ideal, I don't really care if you eat meat, so long as its not fried bacon or minced meat every night we're cool. :P

I respect that everyone likes their alone time but someone who enjoys chatting/hanging out from time to time would be great. I've spent a while crafting my house to be a space that's chill and relaxing and I'd really love to find a likeminded person to share this with.
