Description
The people:
We are two housemates, both queer international professionals working for the Uni. We're equal parts quiet and sociable, situation dependent. We don't party but we have the occasional guest over. I go to the Gym Group by our house, and volunteer at the UPP. I've lived here since 2022 and can vouch for the landlord - he is nice and has fixed the very rare issue very quickly.
The space:
The house has two floors. Upstairs we have two double bedrooms (one of which is available), one bathroom with bath, shower, and toilet, and one tiny box/single room which we are not allowed to let as a bedroom, but we use for any guests staying over. It could also potentially be used as a home office* - more details below.
Downstairs there is one double bedroom, one shared living and dining room, one shared kitchen, one toilet-only bathroom, and a massive back garden with a shed for extra storage. Also a front patio with space for a car, and bike locks due to be installed imminently.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, oven, hobs, microwave, absorber fan thing, massive fridge and good amount of storage.
The available room has a king size bed, two bedside tables, chest of drawers and built in wooden shelving unit. The small black stool/mini table, the black shelves, and the white clothing rail are all former housemate’s but available to buy from them.
You:
Ideally a professional in your 20s or 30s but open to postgrads as long as you are happy to pay your part of the council tax. No smoking and no drugs please. I am sober, and we are not a party house, so no big drinkers either, please. LGBT people preferred but open to respectful cis het people. We like to keep our space clean and homey and hope you do too. Single people or couples both ok, but rent will be slightly different, see below**.
The costs:
*The small guest room can be used as a home office. If you work from home a lot or require extra space for any other reason, please let us know so we can discuss.
**If you are a couple, we would split bills equally in 4, and the rent will be slightly higher in order to reflect your higher use of the shared space.

Council tax band C
Bills including electric, gas, water, council tax and internet are not included in the rent. All combined they currently average to roughly £140 per month per person as a 3-person household.
