Room available in shared house

Hiya, I’m moving away and need someone to take over my contract. The room is the master bedroom on the first floor. Furniture included (bed, mattress, wardrobe, 2xchest of drawers, small desk). I will be taking the rest with me.

The other housemates are PhD students. They’re friendly, tidy and regularly hang out together. There’s a rotating cleaning rota that you will have to join but it’s not too much hassle - just a small chore each week. The kitchen has two fridge-freezers, washing machine and dishwasher. The house was renovated one year ago.

15 minute walk to Carfax Tower. 5 minutes by bike. House has a bikestand.

You will be taking over my part of the contract. I will cover half the fee the estate agent charges to change the name on the contract (usually around £50-100). You will also need to pay my share of the deposit to me.

Students preferred so the house stays exempt from council tax. If you are a professional, you would need to cover the council tax yourself but I believe they give you a 25% discount.

Moving date is flexible. Contract for house runs up to August 2025.
