Room in Newly Acquired Home

I’ve just bought my first home just off cowley road and Magdalen road. It is such a great location which is why I bought it! It is such a charming house, built around 1900, with a lovely long garden and cute rooms with original fireplaces.

I am doing some renovations at the moment, including plastering, restoring wooden floors changing carpets etc., so it is a work in progress! I will be looking to get a tennant once the majority of this work is done and the bedrooms complete.

I’m looking for a positive, laid back person to be my housemate. Happy to either furnish the room before, or you can bring your own interior design ideas to the table! The whole house is going to need a lick of paint and I’m pretty flexible about colours etc.

There are two bedrooms on offer- one larger than the other. I could be happy in either so depending on your budget you could upgrade to the bigger one, as I am looking to save some extra money for a kitchen renovation in the future !

There may be some other bits that need doing as we get used to the quirks of the place, so looking for someone easy going. Would love someone creative to bounce design ideas off, the place is really a blank canvas and a fun project!

A little bit about me; I’m a fairly active person, and generally love being outdoors. Often up for activities including tennis, cinema, live music, trips to the park etc. Also love a chilled film night, cooking nice dinners and reading. But to begin with I might be doing work on the house and the garden!

I am quite independent and enjoy time to relax, but my friend would also say I’m outgoing and sociable

I like having friends over for dinner, drinks and chilling so feel free to do the same also !

As a student I am exempt from paying council tax; if you are a professional then may have to pay for the council tax bill. Other than that all bills will be split equally.

The photos are from the house before I bought it ( only a couple weeks ago!) so are already out of date..
