Description
Looking for a good roommate ASAP, ideally looking to finalise by 10 Oct!
We're looking for one new housemate to join us in a double room in a house of six! Our contract started on 22nd Sept, and the room's at an affordable £665 per month in a friendly, sociable house.
This account is managed together by all of us.
About the room and property:
____________________
We've got one unoccupied double room with plenty of natural light from a lovely bay window, fully furnished with a double bed, a desk/chair, storage space, wardrobes, a fireplace, and a bedside table.
Overall, there are six rooms in the house: two on the ground floor, three on the first floor and one at the top of the house. There are two bathrooms and showers, one on the ground floor and another on the first floor. We've got a garden space that we're planning on amping up once we're all moved in, plus a dining and living space on the ground floor.
We've got a washer/dryer, a dishwasher, seating space, and a couch in the living room, as well as ample fridge and freezer space, a toaster, microwave, blender, and oven. We've also got additional storage racks in the kitchen, and are planning on getting some more furniture in the living room too!
The house falls under Council Tax band F coming to £51 per person, per month. We're open to both professionals and students, as long as you can pay Council Tax.
Bills vary seasonally, but fall between £30-50. The deposit will be £721 (1.5 months' rent).
The house is on Divinity Road in Cowley, and is very well located in terms of shops, restaurants and transport to city centre. There's a Co-op about a minute from the house, and a bigger Tesco and Sainsbury's about 5 minutes away. The closest bus stop (Manzil Way) is 1-4 minutes.
About us:
_______
We're all either studying at or have recently graduated from Oxford, with the exception of our flatmate's cat, Bug (he's adorable).
We're a sociable household, so there'll always be someone down for a chat - but we're all mindful of each other's personal space and time as well. Bug the Cat is super friendly and affectionate, but if you need him out of the way, that's easy to do too! Some of us will be working full-time right at the start of the tenancy, while some of us will be doing part-time work and applying for jobs/PhDs, so our schedules will vary. Two of us will have finished our Master's in Sociology and will be working/applying for PhDs, one of us will be starting a DPhil in Physics, and two of us working are working at the uni.
Our household is queer, and we're super down to welcome anyone respectful, considerate, and fun to the house.
Please reach out if you're interested, would like more pictures, or if you've got any questions! We've got videos of both rooms too, and can always do a quick online viewing.
Tell us a little bit about yourself too. Looking forward to getting to know you :))
