Hello, I have one spacious double room in a house on Percy Street in East Oxford available to rent from the first of October.
This is a four bedroom house so each room comes with its own separate office, and you would be sharing with just one other housemate most of the time.
I am the owner-occupier, but I recently moved to France and looking to rent the space two friendly professionals. This would be on a lodging basis, but in practice I only expect to be back for the odd week here and there. I propose to stay in one of the offices and reimburse the equivalent rent for the short times I return.
A little bit about the house. The rooms are bright and spacious, furnished and fitted with double glazing. There is a cat flap and possibility to bring your cat provided the other housemate is happy. There is large south facing garden, resident street parking available and there are bike racks in the front garden.
The house is one street over from Magdalen road with its nice pubs and cafes, and two streets over from the Cowley Road. The city centre is a 10 minutes bike ride away and we're a 5 min walk from the main bus routes.
I have let one of the rooms. You would be sharing with Andrew a lecturer at the University. His interest include music and languages, art, architecture.
The rent for one room and office is £950/month plus bills which come to £250/month each (council tax, gas, electric, water, fibre broadband). There would also be a deposit to pay of one month's rent, refundable on your departure from the house. I have a reliable and friendly bi-weekly cleaner if you would like to keep her (£50pp per month).
I am looking for a friendly, reliable professional who would be able to take the room and office from early October. I would potentially consider renting the house for a short term until the end of December.
