Hi! I live in a lovely 3-bedroom house between Iffley and Cowley Road, not far from Magdalen Road and Florence Park. I'm moving cities, so we're looking for a friendly new housemate to join our home.
The house is great with a shared communal space, a kitchen with the usual appliances, a shared bathroom, a toilet and a utility room with a washing machine. We also have a fairly large garden!
The room available is a very spacious double room upstairs. It's unfurnished but has shelves and a hanging rail. I would be happy to sell my wardrobe and chest of drawers. The room gets plenty of light throughout the day. It faces the street but is usually quiet.
We're in a great location, just a five minute walk away from the nearest shop and right around the corner from the river and Florence Park. We're also close to lots of cafes, restaurants and pubs along Cowley Road, Magdalen Road and Iffley Road.
We are about a 30 minute walk or 10 minute cycle from the city centre. We are also five minutes away to bus links to the city centre, Oxford Railway Station and wider Oxfordshire. We're also quite close to the ring road so there's easy access to the rest of Oxfordshire if you have a car.
Street parking is available via a council permit.
We enjoy spending time together, which usually involves sharing a takeaway and watching TV, but equally respect each other's space and keep the shared spaces clean and tidy.
You'll be sharing the house with Sam (a History PhD Student), Jack (a gardener) and Sam's adorable indoor cat Luna - you can spot her in the photo of the living room.
The contract is running until 26th April 2026 and will not be renewed after this as the landlord is planning to move back in. I'm leaving on 29th November 2025 and we would need to notify the agency of a change in tenancy at least two weeks before this.
The room is £528.60 per month plus bills (water, gas, electricity, WiFi, TV, council tax band D and garden refuse service) coming to £155 per person per month.
