We have a lovely double room available in a friendly house in Cumnor. It’s a beautiful house, in a nice area with good public transport links into Oxford city centre.
You’d be sharing with two friendly professionals, who are clean, tidy, considerate and fun. We’re one male and one female, a scientist and an accountant. The rent is £ 480 per month, plus council tax and other bills (including bills, it's best to budget for about £ 610 per month).
The room's unfurnished apart from a large mirrored wardrobe, with drawers. However, we have a spare single mattress that can be used if you need it.
The house has two decent-sized living rooms. The kitchen is large, has a gas hob and all mod-cons. Two sets of French windows open onto a beautiful garden – ideal for BBQs! The end of the garden opens out onto rolling fields – very handy if you like walks in the countryside.
We have broadband and there’s a huge driveway and a garage we use for storage. There’s a washing machine, a tumble drier and a large chest-freezer. There are 3 toilets in the house and you’d be sharing the main bathroom with just one other housemate.
The house is rented through a letting agent, but we contact the landlord (who’s really nice!) directly if anything needs to be done.
The place is more of a home than your usual house-share – we’re very friendly, but respect each other’s personal space. We enjoy trips to the pub, nights in with a DVD/Netflix and more trips to the pub.
